I feel my personal statement is to show how alive and colorful our world can be here in the southwest. I look for everyday scenery, using my "creative eye" and transform what would otherwise be overlooked into a vibrant desert vision. I enjoy the spontaneity of watercolor and silk painting. It is a challenge to let it flow and be loose but still be in control.
